lyrics
I cut off just enough to keep it blooming
I can't imagine its forgettable,
Being left alone, when it mattered most
Like a flame so we burn out slow
Even in this dark room
I can only see you
Like a light I'm drawn to
Gonna love you til my body goes numb
I feel like we should take a step back
Baby do you think that maybe we could work it out?
Why don’t you show me where you sleep and
Baby cant you see that
I am just a street rat street rat
So much on my mind all the time
And I can hear when troubles calling my name
Always seemed like the odds were stacked
Never thought that you'd stab my back
Too numb to feel any pain
Wake me now,
Are you okay?
Take me out
Wake me now,
Do you know what I'm saying
Take me out
I feel like we should take a step back
Baby do you think that maybe we could work it out?
Why don’t you show me where you sleep and
Baby can’t you see that, I see that
By now I see you’ve let go
This feelings taking control of all you want
I'm lost, can't move on
Baby don’t deceive me
You know you want to see me
I feel it all repeating
You know you gotta leave me
Alone.
Over and over, again
Time isn’t always a friend
Wake me up, there is no hope
Take me outside in the cold
Shake it off, it's time to go
Heavens gates have start to close
Just wanna feel the way I did before
And I can get it back all on my own
You gotta, pump me full of serotonin
I've been, down before
Don’t know where I’m goin’
I can’t back down, I can’t back down
Really great. If you like Hail the Sun, DGD, I can't recommend these guys enough. This is one of my favourite albums of all time. Dwellings makes swancore with a twist - to my ears they have a more progressive-focused sound, and the lyrics and themes are always interesting and are what keeps bringing me back for another listen. little on the short side, but the tracks are absolutely killer, a great effort by both bands. I can't wait for their respective LPs to be released. August Payjack
